Be self-cautious and take very good care of yourself and also help protect others.<\/p>\n<h2>Basic Corona Virus Protective Measures by DAN &amp; the Diving Community<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently<\/li>\n<li>Avoid touching your nose, eyes, and mouth<\/li>\n<li>Maintain social distance of at least 1 meter<\/li>\n<li>Prevent the transmission of respiratory illnesses by practicing coughing and respiratory hygiene &#8211; sneeze and cough covering your face with a tissue<\/li>\n<li>If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, avoid contact with other people and seek medical care early<\/li>\n<li>Stay informed and follow advice given by WHO and the Ministry of Health in your country of residence<\/li>\n<li>When traveling please consult the local authorities of the country of destination and follow their safety measures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Advice on How to Properly Disinfect Your Dive Gear Against COVID-19<\/h2>\n<p><img class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4959 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kooxdiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/scuba-diving2-1024x323.jpg\" alt=\"Scuba Diving\" width=\"1024\" height=\"323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kooxdiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/scuba-diving2-1024x323.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.kooxdiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/scuba-diving2-300x94.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.kooxdiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/scuba-diving2-768x242.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.kooxdiving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/scuba-diving2.jpg 1905w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><br \/>\nWith the current threat of Coronavirus and the fact that it can survive for a few hours on metal surfaces, here are some basic prevention measures as by DAN Europe &amp; the Diving Community. All dive centers are required to follow them due to the concerns about disease transmissions when using dive equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Properly sanitizing Your Dive equipment would include cleaning:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BCD oral inflator<\/li>\n<li>Regulator mouthpiece<\/li>\n<li>The inside of the dive mask<\/li>\n<li>Snorkel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sanitize Your Dive Equipment Against COVID-19 &#8211; The Steps<\/h2>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jHk5J7y1yRo\" width=\"100%\" height=\"500\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use a solution of 1% aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite (bleach) with an application time of more than 15 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you thoroughly soak and dip every part, so the solution reaches everywhere.<\/li>\n<li>Rinse thoroughly with fresh water &#8211; make sure to follow the manufacturer\u2019s instructions<\/li>\n<li>For common surfaces like tables, chairs etc use products for surface disinfection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please mind that<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Common antibacterial and chlorhexidine mouthwashes or sprays might not be effective when it comes to disinfecting against Coronavirus.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Hot soapy water might be ineffective, too.
